PURPOSE:To obtain an emulsifying compsn. with high safety, by including a polyhydric alcohol, a polyglycerine higher aliphatic acid ester and an oil phase component as an oil-in-polyhydric alcohol type emulsifying compsn. CONSTITUTION:To a polyhydric alcohol having two or more of hydroxyl groups in a molecule, which is soluble in water and not compatible with an oil, such as propylene glycol or blycerine and a hydrophilic polyglycerine higher aliphatic acid ester with HLB of 9 or more, an oil phase component such as olive oil or tallow is added to form an oil-in-polyhydric alcohol type emulsifying compsn. Because this emulsifying composition can emulsify an oil to a fine emulsion only by simple stirring without using a strong mechanical force and the safety is high, it is useful in cosmetics or pharmaceutical products. |
