Separator for knitted goods joined by meltable threads - having two pairs of moving aprons with angled guide-bars

Device for steaming and separating a series of knitted goods joined end-to-end by meltable yarns comprises upper and lower moving aprons between which the goods are carried through the steaming zone, followed immediately by a similar pair of aprons which, at least at the instant of sepn., have a higher speed than the first pair. At the adjoining ends of the lower aprons, they are diverted around angled guide bars which enable the gap between them to be minimised. The two legs of the guide bars are oriented essentially tangential to the surface of the associated roller. Pref. the upper aprons are also provided with similar guide bars. Arrangement simplifies the construction of the device, by eliminating the need for overlapping of the aprons and enabling identical rollers to be used for all the aprons.(DS).
