Switch contact rebound prevention - is by synthetic material or spring absorption pad behind struck contact

Mechanical contact bounce elimination is for microswitches and relays. It uses a synthetic material block. The synthetic material small block or tablet is inserted behind the contact to be struck and is sufficiently elastic to absorb the energy of the striking contact and prevent the bounce which would occur against a rigid contact structure. Instead of the synthetic material block an alternative is to place a compression spring behind the contact being struck. The method is confirmed contact bounce free by oscillograph tests monitoring for even 1/5,000 sec bounce. The changeover spring (4) comes from the microswitch operating unit to the fixed contacts (2,3). The rest contact (2) is not equipped for bounce elimination but the other contact (3) has a synthetic material tablet (6) between its spring contact carrier and conductor (5) and the switch body (9) supports. All is held firmly in place by the bolt (7) and hexagonol nut (8).
