PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacturing process of the faceplate for an image pickup tube by pre-sealing a signal removing conductor on a glass substrate and sequentially forming component parts on this substrate. CONSTITUTION:A signal removing conductor 11 is sealed on the periphery of a glass substrate 1 and a conductor wiring 6' which is connected therewith is formed. Then a transparent insulator 12 is laminated and a stripe color filter 2 is formed thereon. Subsequently, a laminated glass 13 is laminated and a hole 14, which arrives at a conductor wiring 6', is perforated into this laminated glass 13 and the insulator 12. After then, a Nesa film 4 is formed on the laminated glass 13 and a striped Nesa film is formed using photoresist. |
