Freezer cabinet with timer controlled defrosting cycle - has normal warning lamp indicating temp. rise disconnected during defrosting

The freezer cabinet or chest has the internal storage space held at a required temp. via an electric cooling unit, with a thermostat control (13) and a warning lamp (20) energised if the temp. rises above the set value. The heat exchanger for the cooling unit is provided with a defrosting device (23) controlled by a timer switch (15). This is coupled to an additional switch (18') in the current circuit to the warning lamp (20), so that the lamp circuit is broken during the defrosting cycle. Pref. a second display lamp (25) is connected in parallel with the defrosting device (23) cooperating with a second contact of the additional switch (18') allowing it to be energised during the defrosting cycle.
