PURPOSE:To perform cleaning and offset preventing of the surface of a heat fixing roller effectively by using a rotational pressing roller which is pressed to a web rotational fixing roller impregnated with a liquid release agent and performing the absorbing and squeezing out of the release agent with said roller. CONSTITUTION:A pressing roller 5 is formed by a heat resistant member which can absorb an offset preventing soln. When a web 4 is transferred according to the rotation of the pressing roller 5 in the arrow (b) direction, the toner 14 offset onto a heat fixing roller 1 is wiped away, and since on the other hand a suitable amount of the offset preventing soln. has been impregnated in the web 4, part thereof is absorbed to the web pressing roller 5 as shown by an arrow (d), thence part of the offset preventing soln. is squeezed out as shown by an arrow (e) and is coated on the heat fixing roller 1. |
