<p>Book binders and books made with a binder, said binders comprising integral moldings of a spine (16) having a substantially planar longitudinal panel and a front cover panel (12) and a rear cover panel (14) respectively hingedly (18) (20) mounted on opposite, longitudinal sides of said spine (16); paper pages positioned in said binder between said cover panels (12) (14) and one edge of said pages being fastened by staples or stitching (42) to said planar panel in said spine (16); a rectangular, longitudinal cavity (36) in the outer, rear face of said spine (16); the bottom wall (40) of said cavity (36) being said substantially planar panel, and a rectangular spine insert (38) of mating dimensions with said cavity (36) being mounted in said cavity (36) and covering the bottom wall (40) and any parts of said stitching or stapling (42) which are exposed on said planar panel. </p> |
