Fastening device for fixing sanitary ware, e.g. a lavatory basin or wash basin, to a substructure. The integrally formed device has one end portion in the form of a plug (3) for retaining expansion in holes in the substructure, and at its opposite end it is formed with a flange (6) for engagement around the edge of a hole in the item of sanitary ware. Between the flange and plug the device comprises a sleeve portion (7) for engagement against the hole wall in the item, and an elongatable part (2) comprising of at least one strand (8, 9) formed along a helix line, and arranged between the opposite end surfaces (10, 11, respectively) of the sleeve part and plug. |
