The installation comprises a vertical column (1), capable of turning (4) through 360 degrees. This column supports a four-bar parallel linkage (5) at the top, the linkage itself forming a carrier for the missile launching tube (6) and its cradle. The operator is seated within the parallel linkage frame and has the sighting telescope (8) conveniently positioned for aiming. The telescopic sight axis passes through an imaginary pivot axis (12) situated at a point behind the operator's neck. The linkage and the launching tube are balanced and the sighting axis remains constant and parallel to the tube at all positions.
