<p>The mixture consists of an anti-foaming silicone oil and at least one cpd. having absorbant properties, which is hydrophilic or substantially water-soluble at ambient temp. The mixture is in the form of granules coated with the hydrophilic/soluble cpd. opt. with a protective coating. The compsn. is prepd. by mixing the silicone oil with the cpd., extruding the viscous paste formed to form a sticky strand which is then coated with the cpd. The strand is broken up to form granules which are then coated with medium consisting essentially of the cpd. and water. The water is then evaporated to form a protective layer of the cpd. on the granules. The compsns. are used in washing powders. The cpd. protects the agent from the washing powder, but in use the agent is released at 20 deg.C or above.</p> |
