<p>The electrically powered windscreen washer pump has a high throughput and removes bubbles from the pumping volume increasing starting and running efficiency. The motor is housed (2) in a casing (1) its shaft (6) extending through a bearing (7) and a flexible twin walled seal (8) to the pump chamber (3), this houses the turbine (9) fed from the reservoir by a pipe whose upper end divides into several channels leading outward to the turbine blades to increase efficiency. A chamber (17) immediately above the turbine and below the seal collects and dispels air bubbles. The turbine shaft is extended through the length of the intake pipe again increasing efficiency, the end of the pipe having a side opening (13). The pump output (15) is via a spring and membrane non - return valve (16).</p> |
