The electronic lock has a transmitter containing a crystal oscillator producing pulses and a modulator modulating the pulses. A receiver contains a detector that detects only the carrier-waves of the pulses from the transmitter. A detector at the receiver passes on only the received waves from the pulses. Thyristors are controlled by the decoder in a given sequence. A solenoid is only excited when the thyristors are turned on in a given sequence. The solenoid unlocks or locks the machine. The transmitter and receiver have aerials. The decoder contains filters each tuned to a different frequency.
