<p>Two channels the open sides of which face each other, and which are joined together by a strip of glass fibre reinforced polyester resin glued to each of the outside faces of their flanges, form a support beam for an insulated wagon for transporting meat. Inside the bottom channel there is a reinforcing strip and the tapped holes for the bolts to hold the meat hooks pass through the web and the strip. The beam is cast into the foamed insulating material of the roof and is glued to the outer metal envelope. The beam is adequately strong whilst it guarantees the absence of a heat bridge between the outer and inner aluminium walls of the van.</p> |
