<p>The machine for removing the bark from tree trunks is portable, and can be guided by hand. It incorporates a power-driven cutter cylinder, with adjustable paring blades fitted on the body of the cylinder. Blunt guide cams (24) are also mounted on the cylinder body (6), and these describe rotary tracks (28) at least as large as the generated surfaces (27) derived from the paring blades (13-16). The cams may be made of hard metal or hardened steel. They may be in the form of round pins, with a rounded-off end face, which can be pressed or screwed in, and they may be mounted close behind the paring blades, which cover the whole width of the cylinder., pref. on a retainer plate to which the blades are secured.</p> |
