PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a cooling fan, by fabricating the cooling fan to be installed to a rotary shaft employing aluminum-alloy casting containing silicon and magnesium of specified wt%, reducing casting defects, and eliminating stress concentration. CONSTITUTION:A cooling fan to be installed to a rotary shaft is fabricated by aluminum-alloy casting containing silicon of 6.5-7.5wt% and magnesium of 0.2- 0.4wt%. In this method, since castablility is improved and casting defects are greatly decreased, the stress concentration is eliminated and the breakage of the cooling fan can be prevented. |
