Weight for dumb bells - has central sleeve fitting into hole in metal plate and covered with moulded rubber disc

The weight is for dumb bells and has a central sleeve (1) which fits over on to the crossbar. The sleeve fits into a polygonal hole (4), in a metal plate (2) which forms the weight. A disc (7) of rubber, or similar material, is moulded on to the sleeve and plate. The sleeve is fixed in the hole by soldering it at the points where it touches the sides of the hole (5), leaving spaces (6) round the sleeve. The plate has other holes (3) and these and the spaces are filled by the disc.
