<p>Pharmaceutical compositions containing A) a compound of formula I, <IMAGE> wherein either i) R1 is hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, alkoxy of 1 to 3 carbon atoms or alkylthio of 1 to 3 carbon atoms, fluorine, bromine, chlorine, nitro, trifluoromethyl, amino or -NHCOR, wherein -COR is alkanoyl of 1 to 18 carbon atoms; benzoyl; benzoyl wherein the benzene ring is substituted by one X and one Y, X being alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, fluorine, chlorine or bromine, and Y being hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, or chlorine; phenylalkanoyl, wherein the alkylene section has 1 to 3 carbon atoms; cinnamoyl; phenylalkanoyl as defined above or cinnamoyl which are substitute in the benzene ring by one X and one Y which are as defined above; or -COA, A being thienyl, furyl, pyrrolyl or pyridyl; R2 is hydrogen, chlorine, alkyl of 1 to 3 carbon atoms or alkoxy of 1 to 3 carbon atoms and either R3 and R4 are both hydrogen or both methoxy or R3 and R4 together are methylene-dioxy, or ii) R1 is -NHCOR min , wherein R min is dichloromethyl, cycloalkyl of 3 to 6 carbon atoms or alkenyl of 2 to 5 carbon atoms, R2 is hydrogen and R3 and R4 are both methoxy and B) a beta -adrenoceptor blocking agent, are used in the treatment of coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction.</p> |
