IMMUNOREACTIVE REGION OF GLYCOPROTEIN GPII OF VARICELLA HERPES ZOSTER VIRUS (VZV)

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a method for diagnosing infection with varicella herpes zoster viruses. SOLUTION: An immunoreactive peptide is homologous with a region of a glycoprotein including amino acid locations 450-655. The peptide preferably corresponds to amino acid locations 505-647, 517-597, 535-584, or 545-582. These immunoreactive peptides can be used for a method for diagnosing infection with varicella herpes zoster viruses.
