The pump has a swivel pipe which oscillates between the ends of two cylinders. Its face runs across the endplate (1) of the cylinders. An intermediate ring (7) is bolted to the end of the swivel pipe. It has an annular groove (9) in which a sealing strip (4) is pressed against the cylinder endplate. The strip is pressed out by the hydraulic pressure of a liquid in an annular chamber (10) behind the groove. A flexible membrane (11) separates the chamber (10) from the inside of the swivel pipe and transmits the pressure in the pipe to the chamber. A separate reservoir (13) maintains the liquid volume in the chamber.
