发明名称 GELATIN HARDENING METHOD
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a stable color photographic material undergoing little change on standing without deteriorating the photographic characteristics such as fog and sensitivity of a photographic emulsion by reacting a 3-hydroxyisoxazol type specified compound with gelatin. CONSTITUTION:To 1g of gelation is added about 0.1mol of one or more kinds of compounds represented by formula I (where each of R<1> and R<2> is H, alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy or acyl, R<1> and R<2> may bond to each other to form a carbon ring, R<3> is an n-valent residue bonding to C of carboxylic acid ester-forming carboxyl group through C or N, n is 2 or 3, and m is 0 or 1), e.g. the compound of formula II, and the resulting emulsion is used. This hardening agent has no hydgroscopicity and no decomposability, so it does not change in quality at all even if stored at room temp. over a long term. The agent exhibits superior dissolution resistance to alkali solns. and superior film surface hardness, and it has a hardening action with very little post hardening caused by allowing to stand or after-treatment.
