<p>An apparatus for manufacturing slide fastener stringer pairs of a slide fastener length from a pair of continuous slide fastener stringers. The apparatus comprises means for severing the continuous slide fastener stringers transversely across one of element-free portions, means for pairing the severed slide fastener stringers, and gripping means reciprocable between a first position adjacent to the severing means and a second position disposed away from the first position for advancing the slide fastener stringers along a longitudinal path. The gripping means includes a pair of grippers movable toward each other for introducing the slide fastener stringers into the pairing means.</p> |
