<p>The device is for aligning and transporting long objects such as plants. The plants (3) fall one after the other into a container (7), whose width corresponds at least to the length of the plants including the root so that a plant can lie on the bottom of the container. The container bottom is formed by an inclined section (9) and an inclined and pivotable flap (10) which can be so pivoted away from the floor section (9) that a slot is formed. This slot becomes wider on pivoting the flap so that the plants (3) are pushed more and more into it under their own weight. The plants stand up as soon as the centre of gravity of the plants (3) reaches the edges adjacent to the slot. On further increasing the slot, the plants fall into the slot in the upright position.</p> |
