Balloon sea navigation system - has aquaplane attached by cable to balloon and with immersed fin and stabiliser

The sea navigation system is for a balloon filled with hot air or lighter-than-air gas, being coupled to the balloon by a cable and incorporating an aquaplane. The latter has an immersed fin (1), giving a reaction perpendicular to the cable (2), and also a stabiliser. The balloon can be of the type with a fuselage, the cable being attached to it via a goose-foot piece with two or more tie tapes leading to the front and rear. There can be two of the latter attached to the balloon on the port and starboard sides at the rear, their lengths being adjustable by the pilot.
