Bottles and ampoules, esp. for infusion and injection solns., are tested and checked for impurities and leakage by overturning them through 180 degrees in sets of three. The bottles are intermittently fed between two parallel discs which can roll on rollers and are held apart by three spacers. Two holding strips, one spring-loaded, fit around the neck of each bottle, and a spring-loaded plunger supports the bottle cap on a carrier strip. This device has a high throughput and produces uniformly good test results for little engineering effort. |
