PURPOSE:To enhance bio-compatibility, curing time adjustability and compression strength, by constituting the title composition of a calcium phosphate powder and a kneading liquid containing collagen and tannic acid. CONSTITUTION:A medical curing composition is prepared by kneading a calcium phosphate powder with a kneading liquid containing collagen and tannic acid to bring the resulting kneaded mixture to a flowable or plastic state. As the calcium phosphate powder, either one of hydroxyapatite, calcium hydrogen phosphate and apatite carbonate may be used and, especially, as one having high compression strength after initial curing, there are alpha-tricalcium phosphate and tetracalcium phosphate. As the kneading liquid used in order to impart flowability and flexibility to the calcium phosphate powder, for example, a 2.0 or less N aqueous solution of an inorg acid such as ortho-phosphoric acid, pyrophosphoric acid or hydrochloric acid containing 0.1-25.0wt.% of low antigenecity collagen (type I), 0.5-15.0wt.% of tannic acid is designated. |
