The lid-opener with a grip has a loop on the grip formed by a flexible strip. The inner surface of the strip forms a first supporting face for the lid, while the loop cross section is adjustable by a mechanism acting on the strip. A supporting member movable by a second mechanism forms a second supporting surface for the lid, between the ends of the first surface. The strip (30) is guided at one loop end at least in the supporting member (16).
