A pipe-socket-shaped attachment is fitted on a ball-shaped head, with wires running parallel to form a cage, for catching leaves and dirt, on a pipe. At the other end there are two small interconnected plates, one on the insides and the other on the outside. The wire which makes up the cage comprises individual pieces, fastened with their ends between the plates. They may be sited below outward-bent tongues on the edge of one or both plates. This can be largely mechanically produced.
