<p>The carton for use in both microwave and conventional ovens, comprises a rectangular bottom part (12), with a base (74) and sidewalls (84, 90) folded upwards from the base. A pair of hinged corner sections, with a diagonal fold line are joined to each pair of adjacent sidewalls (82, 88) folded together, when the sidewalls are folded upwards from the base and glued, so as to lie flat against one of these sidewalls. The upper part (14) of the container comprises a lid (18) and at least three depending sidewalls (20, 26) fitting over the sidewalls of the base part (12). The lid (18) has at least two serration lines, allowing the central part of the lid (18) to be removed, for browning, while the carton rigidity is maintained.</p> |
