PURPOSE:To improve the discharging characteristic and leakage withstandability by employing electrolyte paste where lithium iodide is contained more than saturation in organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:More than one kind of organic solvent such as propylene carbonate, r-buthyl lactone, jimethyl formamide, acetonitrile are mixed more than saturation in lithium iodide than thermally dissolved under lowered pressure to produce a paste or solid state having low melting point which is employed as the electrolyte 2. More than one kind of Al2O3, SiO2 pr TiO2 is preferably contained in said electrolyte as occulusion agent to facilitate the pasting. Anode pellet 1 is previously filled in anode can 7 containing a gasket 5 and cell supporting board 6, then said paste electrolyte 2 is uniformly coated thereafter Li board 3 is mounted and cathode can 4 is covered then the anode can 7 is circumferentially caulked and sealed. |
