PURPOSE:To make possible the linear scanning of the surface to be scanned even in the case of the oblique reflection surface by making common use of the rotating axis of the scanning optical system, providing at least two deflection surfaces which are provided obliquely with respect to the rotating axis and correcting the axial displacement amount of the light beam produced by the first deflection reflecting surface by the second deflection reflecting surface. CONSTITUTION:The beam 13 which is emitted from a laser light source 11 in parallel with the common rotating axis 12 of ratoary pyramidal reflecting mirrors 14, 15 being deflectors is reflected by the respective deflection reflecting surfaces 16, 17 of the reflecting mirrors 14, 15 and is reflected in the direction rectangular to the rotating axis 12 to scan on the surface to be scanned 18. A scanning line 19 is created by the rotation of the reflecting mirrors 14, 15. Even if the defelctors having the reflecting surfaces provided obliquely to the rotating axis are used, linear scanning of the surface to be scanned is made possible. |
