EP additives for alcohol-based motor fuels - to prevent binding and wear of fuel injection units

Additives for motor fuels in which mineral oils are partly or wholly substd., e.g. by alcohols, consisting of known S-contg. cpds. used as EP additives in lubricating oils, which react with moving metal components to form metal salt layers on the surface. Amount added to the fuel is 0.1-5 vol.%. Binding and premature wear between moving surfaces is prevented, in fuel injection pumps and jets.
