PURPOSE:Title composition that is made by adding flame retarders to the base resin mainly consisting of polyolefin resin and silicone-modified ethylene-propylene rubber, thus preventing the dripping on burning with no adverse effects on electrical and mechanical properties. CONSTITUTION:The base resin mainly consisting of a polyolefin resin and a silicone-modified base resin is combined with an appropriate amount of flame retarders. Especially, when used as an elecrically insulating material, the two components of the base polymer are mixed so that the silicon content may become 1-9wt% based on the total amount of the resins. The present invention can avoid the deterioration in mechanical properties and processability caused by addition of silicone rubber and the reduction in mechanical and electrical characteristics caused by addition of inorganic filler for the purpose of preventing the dripping of polyolefin resins. |
