PURPOSE:To detect the focusing of the automatic focusing camera with high accuracy by leading the incident light passing through the peripheral two regions of an objective lens to a pair of reflecting mirrors right after the objective lens and placing a focusing detecting element in the reflected light converging position. CONSTITUTION:A pair of mirrors 10 are provided behind an objective lens 1, in the laterally symmetrical positions, with the optical axis 2 of said lens as an axis, to reflect the incident light l passing through the peripheral parts of the objective lens 1. A focusing detecting element 11 is disposed in the position where the reflected light l' converges. Since whether focusing or non-focusing is detected in the single place without the formation of images separately on the right and left by the lens peripheral light, the constitution may be simplified without installing the focusing detecting element separately in two positions. Further the focusing is detected by the reflected light from the mirrors 10, hence the entry of optical noise in the detecting rays may be obviated and the accuracy of detection enhanced. |
