PURPOSE: To stabilize a substrate for cranium against the neck, by making a loop and legs of a backbone-and-cranium locking device laid down wholly at the contact point on the surface where the both are intersecting each other, and making the legs have a curvature facing outside at the vicinity of the contact point on the surface. CONSTITUTION: The device 10 is designed to be able to use it when a cranium is made fixed to an adjoined spinal bone. The device is made of a bar material having a property of biological compatibility. It has a substantial circular loop 11, and is joined to a pair of legs parallel to its length. The loop and the legs are laid down at the contact point 13 on the surface where the both are intersecting each other. The legs have a curvature 14 facing outside at the vicinity of the contact point on the surface, and the loop is fixed to the substrate of the cranium by running a line through a hole of the cranium. Further, when the legs 12 are fixed to the adjoined spinal bone by a sub-laminer line, the line surrounds the legs 12 at the both sides of a hip 14 to make both the cranium and the adjoined spinal bone fixed. |
