According to the invention, dust separation in rock drilling is effected with the aid of compressed air, which flushes the dust formed at the bottom of the drill hole to a dust separator 5 and from there intermittently to a pressure vessel 9 connected to the latter such that it can be shut off with a restrictor 3, which pressure vessel, having been shut off, is put under ca. 2.5 atmospheric excess pressures via a separate compressed- air connection 6 to the vessel 1, the passage to a transport line 7 connected to the pressure vessel being opened for the purpose of evacuating the dust conveyed to the vessel 1, in the form of an air-dust mixture, to a remote collecting tank. The device for implementing the process according to the invention consists of the combination of the mutually connected dust separator 5 and pressure vessel 1 complete with apparatus, namely intermediate restrictors 3 and connections 6; 7, made to the pressure vessel, for compressed-air and transport line, and measures undertaken in the vessel to obtain an effective mixture of dust and air prior to evacuation. <IMAGE> |
