<p>A catamaran-type boat comprising two elongate floats (3) inter-connected by a beam structure (6) carrying a binnacle (22). The beam structure (6) is connected to each float (3) by a transverse articulation orientated perpendicularly to the longitudinal axes of these floats. Differential means are provided between the beam structure (6) and each float (3) to maintain said beam structure in a medium position relative to the floats. Said differential means may be of the hydraulic or mechanical type and is servo-connected to a gyroscope. The binacle (22) is mounted in the middle of the beam structure (6) and is hinged about an axis orientated according to the longitudinal axis (23) of the boat. Means, such as jack servo-connected to a gyroscope, are provided to maintain the binnacle in a horizontal position. A boat of this type has a good stability and is particularly appropriate for pleasure navigation, transport of passengers or as a service ship.</p> |
