<p>The unit has combustion engine to drive the electricity generator and comprises two transportable containers (1,2), containing all the components in fixed relationship to one another. The air filter (9) projecting from the top, or sides, of one of the containers (1), when the unit is in use, and the exhaust muffle (13) mounted externally are both stowed within one or other of the containers during transport. The containers have removable sides and connectors allowing them to be fitted together, so that they lie longitudinally side by side, with an elastic seal between the mating surfaces. Pref. standardised containers measuring 2.44 m by 2.44 m by 9.13 m are used, one containing the generator plant (5) and the other containing the fuel supply and fuel pump and a manual switch gear.</p> |
