Vibrator plate with forward feed mechanism - has handlebars fitted above frame and lying inside baseplate periphery

The vibrator plate is used in ground compaction machinery. It is fitted with its own forward feed mechanism, pref. for one direction only. Above the machine frame there are holding and turning devices such as handle-bars fixed to it, and whose projection onto the ground lies inside the periphery of the machine or protrudes only slightly beyond it. The handlebars can be fitted directly above the baseplate, being typically formed by an annular beam, whose periphery matches that of the baseplate. There may be flexible rubber mountings separating the vibrator plate from the handlebars.
