PURPOSE:To provide a hair cosmetic imparting excellent luster and smooth hand to hair and having good set-holding power, by containing a high mol.wt. silicone, a silicone polymer and a cationic surfactant. CONSTITUTION:(A) A high mol.wt. silicone of formula I (R1 is methyl or partially phenyl; R2 is methyl or OH; n is 3,000-20,000), e.g., dimethylpolysiloxane, (B) a silicone polymer of formula II (R is H or trimethylsilyl; R3 is OH or methyl; R4 is 1-6C alkylene; R5 is 1-4C alkylene; x is 4-500; y is 1-15) and (C) a cationic surfactant, preferably a quaternary ammonium salt type cationic surfactant (e.g., distearyldimethylammonium chloride) are contained in a cosmetic in a ratio of A=0.1-25wt.%, B=0.05-40wt.% (preferably 10-80wt.% based on A) and C=0.01-5wt.%, particularly 0.05-2wt.%. |
