PURPOSE:To distinguish error module units with a diagnostic system simplified by setting a fixed time by a timer after the end of IPL, by sequentially starting several unit diagnostic methods by displaying passing marks, and then by indicating an error when the final passing mark is not displayed at the time of the completion of clocking. CONSTITUTION:From external memory unit 1 to main memory unit 2, an initial program is loaded by IPL method 3. After the completion of loading operation, a fixed time is set to timer method 5 and clocking operation starts. Simultaneously, 1st unit diagnostic method 41 is started and if an error is detected in process of a diagnosis, an error signal is sent out. When the loading operatio ends without detecting an error, passing marks are displayed on display table 6. Next, 2nd unit diagnostic method 42 is started for similar operation. When the passing mark of final unit diagnostic method 4n is not displayed on of a clocking end signal, an error signal is generated. |
