An edge connector assembly 10, Fig. 2, for interconnecting two printed circuit boards (2) Fig. 1 (not shown) in such manner as to maintain a one-to- one correspondence with the opposite sides of the boards, includes a flexible substrate (10) carrying a conductor pattern between the edge connector contact areas (12) and folded or flexed about two support strips (11) such that the parts of the substrate (10) wrapped around the strips (11) provide the edge connectors 5a, 5b while other parts of the substrate (10) maintain the edge connectors 5(a), 5b, in spaced relationship. The various contacts (12) are so positioned on the substrate (10) that they are located on opposite faces. Plated through holes (28), (31) Fig. 4 (not shown) are formed in the substrate 10 to provide required electrical connections through the substrate. <IMAGE>
