<p>Installation is of the type which comprises a main storage tank with a capacity sufficient to supply feed for several, pref. 4 or 5 days. Storage tank supplies a day tank, with a capacity of one day's feed. Day tank is piped to supply several feeding troughs. Day tank has a low level float valve which switches a supply of drinking water to the troughs once the days feed has been consumed. An outlet from the base of the main storage tank is piped to the suction side of a circulating pump. The delivery side of the pump is piped to a three-way valve which can switch delivery either to return liq. into the top of the main storage tank or into the day tank. Delivery from the day tank is pref. via adjustable capacity measuring tanks. Each measuring tank supplies its own feeding troughns). Day tank and measuring tanks are pref. prefabricated as a single, packaged assembly, delivered complete from the factory. Used for feeding farm animals, partic. pigs, with whey etc.</p> |
