<p>Finely divided particles (100-1000, pref. 250-500 microns) are based on di- or tri-esters of glycerol or diesters of ethyleneglycol and a 12-22C saturated fatty acid. Particles prepd. by cooling the liq ester, are used in toothpaste both as agents to give a speckled pleasing appearance and as polishing agents. Compsn. is easily prepd. and innocuous not only orally but when ingested.</p> |
