PURPOSE:To detect the fitting error such as angle error and eccentricity of a gear in an actual operation state by extracting only an effective component from noise produced in the gear in operation, by synchronizing the extracted signal with the rotation of gear and by adding it to the output of detector. CONSTITUTION:Only a specific frequency component of a gear signal detected by the gear signal detector 1 is extracted by the band-pass filter 2, and is added to an output of the envelope detector 3, which is synchronized with the rotation of gear, in the adding circuit 4 to feed itself to the output device. The synchronizing signal for addition is detected by the rotation signal detector 5. Also a required rotation signal can be generated by the frequency divider 6 to make itself a synchronizing signal. Since the measured values of gearing noise are agreed with a pattern (dots in Figure) measured by the dial gauge, a fitting angle error and eccentricity of the gear can be detected. |
