A pair of guide rods have a walking cylinder hinged between a connecting traverse, near the rods rear ends, and the bare frame of the walking support, of the hydraulic type used in mines. A cleaning device is moved through the walking structure tunnel which houses the rods as the cylinder thrusts in and out. This cleaning device (28) is attached to the guiding rods (17), and pref. consists of a number of block-type cleaning organs fastened to them, each stroking only part of the tunnel (20) width. One may be attached to each rod, and they may be mutually offset lengthways.
