An open box 1 of foamed plastics (e.g. polystyrene) of closed cell structure having the bottom formed to provide a substantially airtight closure for the top of a like container when stacked thereupon. The box may be used for food such as fish, and may comprise a floor 2 having drainage hollows 3 on the inner surface, and having grooves (6), Fig. 2 (not shown), on the outer surface. The loaded boxes may be stacked upon an insulating base (7) and the top box may have an insulating cover (8) placed thereon. |
