Olefins were polymd. stereospecifically in the presence of a catalyst. The catalyst were composed of (a) solid Ti compd. prepd. by the reaction of solid Mg compd. which obtained by sepg. from reaction products of Mg halide, alc., ester of org. acid, and a Group I-III organometallic compd. with lig. Ti compd. (I; X= halogen, R'= C1-8 alkyl; 1 = 0-4), and (b) a Group I-III organometallic compd. (II; R2, R3=same or not C1-8 alkyl ; o<m<=3).
