<p>PURPOSE:To simplify a construction and accelerate processing, by using range memories of capacity corresponding to the recurrence period of pulses. CONSTITUTION:A range memory 4, which has a capacity corresponding to pulse recurrence periods T1, T2 and serves to store a distance information signal when a mode changeover signal has a recurrence frequency PRF1, and another range memory 5, which serves to store a distance information signal when the mode changeover signal has another recurrence frequency PRF2, are provided between a storage control circuit 3 and a read coincidence detection circuit 6. A prescribed distance information signal is stored into the range memory 4 or 5 depending on the mode changeover signal and a received signal of a target applied to input terminals 1, 2. The distance information signal is thereafter repeatedly read on the basis of a transmission timing signal. A time until signals are simultaneously read from both the memories 4, 5 with a prescribed accuracy is determined to detect the distance to the target. Therefore, the length of the range memories 4, 5 do not need to be larger than one recurrence period of a minimum transimtted pulse signal. The purpose is thus attained.</p> |
