<p>The reflector for a spotlight for stage use, has a shape which closely approximates to a parabola, and which can be tilted about an axis which passes through its focal point. The reflector can further be split into two equal halves along a plane which passes through its focal point. Both halves can be independently swung outwards about the focal point. In another design, divided in this manner, the curves of each half are not identical, and one half may slide over the other for a short distance along the dividing plane. A third strip portion may cover the gap.</p> |
