PURPOSE:The title composition having improved water resistance, nonvaporization, and stability with time, capable of giving smooth ink output at all times, comprising a dye, dimethyl sulfone, a nonvolatile water-soluble organic solvent, and water. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous ink composition comprising (A) a dye, e.g. water- soluble acid, direct, or basic dye, (B) dimethyl sulfone having improved hydrotropic action, (C) a nonvolatile water-soluble organic solvent, e.g. ethylene glycol, and (D) water as essential constituents. The amount of (B) is 2-50wt%, preferably 5-30wt%, and the weight ratio of (C) to (B) is preferably 1: 0.1-2.0. |
